AΩA

The name Alpha Omega Alpha is derived from the three Greek letters AΩA, which are the initials of the essential Greek words in this organizations motto: "Worthy to Serve the Suffering".

Mission

To promote scholarship and research at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, to encourage a high standard of character and conduct among medical students and graduates, and to recognize high attainment in medical science, practice and related fields.
