Meharry Medical College Community Service Projects

The Nashville Rescue Mission

The Nashville Rescue Mission seeks to help the hurting of Middle Tennessee by offering food, clothing and shelter to the homeless and recovery programs to those enslaved in life-degrading problems. It is a faith-based organization, whose ministries subsist without relying on any governmental funding. In the photos above there are various members of the gamma chapter of AΩA helping to prepare food for breakfast.

The Nashville Area Habitat for Humanity

Nashville Area Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical Christian ministry that provides the life-changing opportunity for people to purchase and own quality, affordable homes. Since its founding in 1976, Habitat for Humanity International has built and rehabilitated more than 300,000 houses with families in need, becoming a world leader in addressing the issues of poverty and affordable housing. In the photos above, various members of the gamma chapter of AOA  helped to install insulation and siding.
